With the current restrictions on face to face meetings, doing business the old fashioned way had to change fast. Unless you weren’t doing this already the change for you would have been easy to business as usual. But for some, getting used to running remote meetings, working from home, organising staff, meet with staff, meet with clients and dealing with the plethora of headaches that come with being thrust into a new work environment for some may have been tough.
Even when things get back to normal, perhaps a new normal but without too many harsh restrictions is my hope, there are benefits to remote working. Considering we live in an age of fairly fast internet access, small devices and apps. I foresee a lot of office space being available as we collectively realise we are more connected digitally than ever. Having office space is no longer seen as a MUST and is smarter to work from home and have your team spread across the country or planet.
It makes face to face gatherings more meaningful in my opinion. We are social beings after all and even though I love technology, nothing compares to real life experience of meeting in person.
